SAPPHIRE ABRASTIM
The Sapphire
Abrastim offers a Sapphire 3 abrasion. Named
for the sapphire granules that cover its unique tip,
this crystal and suction-free abrasion system uses vibration
to painlessly ablate the outermost layers of the skin.
The tip is slowly passed across the skin’s surface,
revealing the healthier layers beneath. Because the
system is suction-free and non-thermal, it can be used
to treat a wide variety of skin conditions, and is safe
for any skin type.
The Sapphire Abrastim offers a superior dry abrasion for today’s
market, but also provides the option of a wet abrasion as well. A Sapphire 3 abrasion results in immediate
and noticeable improvement in the skin texture, tone
and appearance, leaving the skin more receptive to
any pursuing therapy.

Three
different head sizes are available, providing a wide
range of grit, or grain sizes. Depth of exfoliation
is determined by the level of pressure applied combined
with grit size chosen.
100 grit exfoliates approximately
75-125 microns of the stratum corneum
70 grit exfoliates approximately 125-175 microns of
the stratum corneum
50 grit exfoliates approximately 175-250 microns of
the stratum corneum

The
sapphire heads can be sterilized in an autoclave or
with sterilizing solution, and have a recommended life
of 30 treatments. |

The function of the
lymphatic system is to clear toxins, metals, in-organic
substances and other waste, which cannot be removed
by any other means from our tissues and cells. The lymphatic
system has no pump; it is dependent upon muscle contractions
(stimulation), and deep breathing to drain properly.
Sapphire 3’s unique Lymphatic Drainage feature,

General:
- A Sapphire 3 abrasion should take approximately 30 minutes, however, length of treatment may vary depending on the desired results the technician would like to achieve.
- A series of 6 treatments (one every 2 weeks) is recommended, followed by maintenance treatment every 4 to 8 weeks.
- Sapphire 3 abrasion is non-thermal and patients report no discomfort or need for recovery time.
Sapphire 3
abrasion can be performed as a standalone treatment,
but becoming increasingly popular as a complement to
other rejuvenation procedures, specifically those that
require aggressive abrasions.
